The Heritage railway

The heritage railway passes through the entire grounds of the open-air museum on a track of 1.7 km length. Daily operating hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. continuously. The ride is included in the entrance fee. On weekdays at least one train with three wagons is in operation, with a capacity of 69 people, while on Sundays and holidays usually two trains are running. A ride starting from the “Flachgau” station to the final destination “Pongau” and back will last approximately 30 minutes. The mid-station “Tennengau” is located right at the museum restaurant “Salettl”.

The last wagon of each train is accessible for people with disability.
